PROCEDURE

Removal PROCEDURE

1. Release the latch at the rear of the protective cover 1. On vehicles built from 1986

Instead of the latch, a screw is installed. Unscrew it. 2. Push the protective trim 1 toward the rear of the vehicle and remove it. 3. Slide the seat forward. 4. Unscrew nut 5. 5. Remove snap ring 6 and bolt 8. 6. Turn handle 4 and, holding it, slide the seat rearward off the guide rails. Hold handle 4 so that latch rod 2 does not lock the seat through the holes in slides 7. Installation Procedure 1. Install the front seat in the reverse order of removal. During installation, check the condition of the front and rear seat slide rails and replace them if necessary.

2. Tighten nut 5 to torque 1.5 N·m.
