Windshield Installation 1 – window opening flange; 2 – cord; 3 – seal; 4 – molding; 5 – glass

Installation PROCEDURE 1. Install the seal 3 onto the glass 5 around the entire perimeter. 2. Install the decorative molding 4 (if equipped). 3. Lay a strong cord 2 into the bottom of the outer groove of the seal around the entire perimeter using a screwdriver, so that the ends of the cord come out of the groove at the center of the lower part of the glass. 4. Position the glass against the window opening from outside the vehicle. 5. Pull the ends of the cord 2 into the vehicle interior while a second person presses the glass from outside. The cord lifts the edge of the seal 3, and it must seat its outer groove on the window opening flange 1.
