Heater Control Mechanism 1 – heater motor switch knob; 2 – washer; 3 – heater panel; 4 – screw; 5 – bracket; 6 – radiator flap rod; 7 – lower airflow flap rod; 8 – defroster airflow flap rod; 9 – clamp; 10 – lever; 11 – slider; 12 – lever knob

Removal Procedure 1. Remove heater motor switch knob 1. 2. Remove lever knobs 12. 3. Pry heater panel 3 off at the clip locations and remove the heater panel. 4. Disconnect the wires from the motor switch. 5. Unscrew screws 4. 6. Remove the instrument panel. 7. Mark flap rods 6, 7 and 8 with colored insulating tape. 8. Disconnect the flap cable sheaths from clamps 9. 9. Disconnect the flap rods from levers. 10. Remove heater control mechanism bracket 5. Installation Procedure 1. Install heater control mechanism bracket 5. 2. Connect flap rods 6, 7 and 8 to levers 10 according to the markings made earlier. 3. Secure the flap cable sheaths in clamps 9 so that the sheath ends protrude 5 mm from the clamps. 4. Tighten screws 4 securing the bracket to the instrument panel. 5. Install the instrument panel. 6. Connect the wires to the motor switch. 7. Install and snap in heater panel 3. 8. Install lever knobs 12. 9. Install heater motor switch knob 1.
