VORGEHENSWEISE

1. Das Spurstangenkopfgelenk von der Spurstange abnehmen.

2. Using a flat-tipped screwdriver, remove the dust cover from the tie rod end ball joint.

3. Remove the bellows clamp.

4. Remove the bellows clip.
5. Slide the bellows toward the tie rod.

When replacing the bellows, check the steering gear for rust.

6. Remove the air pipe from the gear housing.
7. While slowly moving the rack, drain the fluid from the steering gear housing.
8. Remove the plug.

9. With the pinion turned clockwise until the rack locks, remove the self-locking nut.

10. Using a chisel, bend back the lock washer located between the tie rod and the rack.
11. Remove the tie rod from the rack.

When removing the tie rod, be careful not to rotate the rack.

12. Remove the plug lock nut.

13. Using the special tool 09565–21100, remove the plug.

14. Remove the spring, support yoke and bushing from the gear housing.

15. Remove the two bolts and remove the valve housing.

16. Using a flat-tipped screwdriver, turn the rack stopper clockwise until the end of the stopper ring comes out of the groove in the gear housing.

17. When the end of the stopper ring comes out of the hole in the rack cylinder housing, use a flat-tipped screwdriver to turn the rack stopper counterclockwise and remove the stopper ring.

18. Remove the rack stopper, bushing and rack from the gear housing by moving them toward the pinion side.

After removing the steering gear, be sure to replace the housing side O-ring.

19. Remove the O-ring from the rack bushing.

20. Entfernen Sie den O-Ring von der Zahnstangenbuchse.

21. Entfernen Sie das Ventilgehäuse mit einem Kunststoffhammer aus dem Gehäuse.

22. Entfernen Sie den Öldichtring und das Kugellager mit dem Spezialwerkzeug 09565–21000 aus dem Ventilgehäuse.

23. Entfernen Sie das Kugellager aus dem Ritzelgehäuse.

Darauf achten, dass der Ventilzylinder im Lenkgetriebegehäuse nicht beschädigt wird.

24. Entfernen Sie das Nadellager aus dem Lenkgetriebegehäuse.

25. Entfernen Sie die Sicherungsscheibe und den Öldichtring mit den Spezialwerkzeugen 09573–21200 und 09555–21000 aus dem Lenkgetriebegehäuse.

Darauf achten, dass der Zahnstangenzylinder im Ritzelgehäuse nicht beschädigt wird.
