Energy saving mode
This system manages the use time of certain functions to maintain sufficient battery charge with the ignition off.
After the engine is switched off, certain functions such as the audio and telematics system, the wipers, the dipped headlamps or the courtesy lamps can be used for a maximum cumulative duration of approximately 40 minutes.
Entering the mode
Entry into energy saving mode is indicated by a message, and active functions are put on standby.
If a phone call is in progress at the same time, it will be maintained for approximately 10 minutes using the hands-free kit of the audio system.
Exiting the mode
These functions are automatically reactivated the next time the vehicle is used.
To regain immediate use of these functions, start the engine and let it run:
- Less than 10 minutes, to have the equipment available for approximately 5 minutes.
- More than 10 minutes, to keep them available for approximately 30 minutes.
Observe engine start times to ensure correct battery charging.
To recharge the battery, do not repeatedly and continuously restart the engine.
A discharged battery will not allow the engine to start.

Load shedding mode
This system manages the use of certain functions according to the energy level remaining in the battery.
While the vehicle is moving, load shedding temporarily deactivates certain functions, such as air conditioning and rear window defrosting.
Deactivated functions are automatically reactivated as soon as conditions allow.
