Plug-in hybrid system
Electrical system
The high-voltage electrical circuit of the plug-in hybrid system is identified by orange cables, and its components are marked with this symbol:

The plug-in hybrid powertrain uses a voltage between 240 V and 400 V. This system may be hot while the vehicle is in use and after the ignition has been switched off.
Observe the warning messages on the labels, particularly in the charging flap.
The high voltage of the system is dangerous and can cause burns or other injuries, or even an electric shock that may be fatal.
As high-voltage components are not visible, CITROËN recommends that you:
Never touch the components, whether damaged or not, and never allow jewellery or other metal objects to come into contact with these parts.
- Never work on the orange high-voltage cables or on any other high-voltage component marked by the electrical hazard label. Any work on the high-voltage system must be carried out by competent personnel in workshops qualified and approved for this type of work.
- Never damage, modify or remove the orange high-voltage cables, or disconnect them from the high-voltage system.
- Never open, modify or remove the traction battery cover.
- Never use cutting and shaping tools or heat sources near high-voltage components and cables.
If the coolant reservoir level is low, topping up must only be carried out in a qualified and competent workshop, in order to check that there is no leak from the traction battery.
Any work on the high-voltage system must be carried out by competent personnel in workshops qualified and approved for this type of work.
Damage to the vehicle or to the traction battery may cause a leak of toxic gases or fluids, immediately or later. CITROËN recommends that you:
- Always inform the emergency services and fire brigade in the event of an incident, stating that the vehicle is fitted with a traction battery.
- Never touch a fluid leak from the traction battery.
- Do not inhale the gases emitted by the traction battery, as they are toxic.
- Move away from the vehicle in the event of an incident or accident. The gases emitted are flammable and may cause a fire.

This label is intended exclusively for firefighters and maintenance services when working on the vehicle.
No other person should touch the device illustrated on this label.
In the event of an accident or impact to the underbody of the vehicle
In these situations, the electrical circuit or the traction battery may be seriously damaged.
Park in the safest possible conditions and switch off the ignition.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
When washing the vehicle
Before washing the vehicle, check that the charging flap is properly closed.
Do not wash the vehicle while the battery is charging.
High-pressure washing
To avoid damaging electrical components, high-pressure washing is strictly forbidden in the engine compartment and under the underbody.
When washing the bodywork, do not use a pressure greater than 80 bar.
Prevent water or dust from entering the connector or the charging plug - risk of electric shock or fire! Do not connect or disconnect the cable or the charging plug with wet hands - risk of electric shock!
