Jacking up the vehicle
When working under the vehicle, unless it is standing on a vehicle lift, it must be supported on two or four stable jack stands. Never work under the vehicle if it is not adequately secured or is supported only by the jack. Danger to life!
Raise the vehicle only when unladen, on level, firm ground.
Secure the wheels that remain on the ground with wheel chocks to prevent rolling forward or backward.
Do not rely on the parking brake; it must be released for some repairs.
Support the vehicle on jack stands so that one leg of each stand points outward to the side.

Place the lift arms at the front on the pick-up points (see detail illustration), and at the rear on the reinforcements of the side members, approx. 20 cm from the rear wheel arch.

At the front, lift the vehicle only at the transmission housing. Warning: vehicles with a lower engine compartment cover must not be lifted at the front.

Lift the vehicle at the rear at the point shown.

Lift the vehicle at the side below the B-pillar. Place a wooden strip between the lifting equipment and the vehicle according to the dimensions given (in mm). Warning: the reinforcement - a - of the side member must rest in the groove - b - of the strip.
