Rear axle
In this manual: Rear axle
~1min read
The rear wheel guiding elements are attached to the rear axle carrier, which is bolted to the body via 4 rubber-metal bearings. Two lower transverse links, together with the shock absorbers, guide the wheels. Two separately arranged coil springs provide suspension for the rear wheels.
An additional anti-roll bar reduces body roll when cornering.
Caution: Welding and straightening work on the axle beam and axle spindles is not permitted.
