Transmission / Gearshift / Automatic Transmission
In this manual: Transmission / Gearshift / Automatic Transmission
~1min read
The transmission can be removed downward without removing the engine. Removal is necessary if the clutch is to be replaced or if the transmission must be replaced or overhauled. Since repairs to the transmission should in no case be attempted with do-it-yourself tools, only removal of the unit is described here. For removal, the vehicle must be raised sufficiently high on stands.
In addition, a suitable crane is required to support the drive unit.
The Fiat Bravo/Brava is also available with an automatic transmission, see page 138.
