Oil Pan Removal
REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature, then drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter (see Adjustments and Routine Maintenance Chapter).
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
If the vehicle's audio system is equipped with an anti-theft code, make sure you have the correct code to reactivate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!
3. Raise the vehicle and support it on safety stands. Remove the engine undercover.

4. Remove the engine stiffener bolts.

5. Remove the oil pan-to-engine block bolts.
6. Tap around the perimeter of the oil pan with a soft-faced hammer to break the sealant bond, then separate it from the block. Do NOT attempt to pry the oil pan off the mating surface!
