PROCEDURE

Using HI-SCAN scan tool
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Connect the HI-SCAN scan tool to the diagnostic connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Read the diagnostic trouble codes on the HI-SCAN scan tool.
5. Repair the malfunction.
6. Erase the diagnostic trouble codes.
7. Disconnect the HI-SCAN scan tool from the diagnostic connector.
Using a voltmeter
8. Turn the ignition off.
9. Connect the voltmeter to terminal 1 of the diagnostic connector.
10. Connect the L-wire to terminal 15 of the diagnostic connector.
11. The output pattern is displayed on the voltmeter.
12. Read the diagnostic trouble codes.
