PROCEDURE

1. Move the selector lever through all positions. Check that the selector lever position corresponds to the selector lever position indicator.

2. Make sure the selector lever can be moved as shown in the illustration.
3. Start the engine and check that the vehicle moves forward when the lever is moved from N to D, and moves backward when the lever is set to R.
4. If necessary, adjust the control cable and the selector lever bushing.
