1 – shift lock solenoid;
2 – shift lever N position switch;
3 – spring pin;
4 – spring pin;
5 – steel ball;
6 – ball seat;
7 – spring;
8 – stud;
9 – shift lever;
10 – lever adjusting cam;
11 – shift lever rod;
12 – shift lever spring;
13 – bushing;
14 – bracket.

Inspection

PROCEDURE

1. Check the detent mounting location for wear.
2. Check the spring for damage and loss of tension.
3. Check the stud at the base of the lever for wear.

Assembly

PROCEDURE

1. Lubricate the sliding surface of the bushing.
Lubricant: SAE J310, NLGI No. 2

2. Apply grease to the locations shown in the illustration.
Lubricant: SAE J310, NLGI No. 2
