Transmission Fluid Pressure Test

Location of Seal Rings

1 – oil seal ring;
2 – seal ring;
3 – D-ring seal;
4 – D-ring seal;
5 – D-ring seal;
6 – oil seal ring;
7 – seal ring;
8 – D-ring seal.

The transmission fluid pressure test is performed to determine the condition of the hydraulic components and whether there are any leaks.

PROCEDURE

1. Run the engine until the transmission warms up to a temperature of 60~70 °C.
2. Raise the front of the vehicle so that the drive wheels can rotate freely.
3. Connect a tachometer and position it so that it is clearly visible.

4. Connect the special pressure gauge 09452-21500 with adapter 09452-21002 to each pressure check port.
To check the reverse pressure, use a gauge with a 3,000 kPa measuring range.

5. Measure the transmission fluid pressure at various selector lever positions and engine speeds. If the pressure does not meet the specified values, inspect and repair the transmission components.
