Inspection

  1. Check the CMPS and CKPS signal waveforms using the GDS.

    Specification: Refer to Waveform.

Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (A).
  3. Remove the mounting bolt (B) and pull the sensor straight out of the transaxle housing.

Installation
  • Install the component with the specified torque.
  • Note that internal damage may occur if the component is dropped. If the component has been dropped, inspect it before installation.
  • Insert the sensor into the mounting hole, taking care not to damage it during installation.
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Crankshaft position sensor mounting bolt: 6.9 ~ 9.8 N·m
