When the ignition is ON, the indicator light comes on, then goes off if ESC is working normally.

The ESC light flashes whenever ESC is operating.

If the ESC light stays on, there may be a problem with ESC.

When this warning light comes on, it is recommended that the vehicle be checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

The ESC OFF indicator light comes on when ESC is turned off with the ESC OFF button.

WARNING When the ESC light is flashing, it means ESC is active: Drive slowly and do not try to accelerate. NEVER press the ESC OFF button while the ESC light is flashing, or you may lose control of the vehicle and cause an accident. NOTICE Driving with tires or wheels of different sizes can cause ESC to malfunction. When replacing tires, make sure they are the same size as the originals.
