Adjusting the driver's seat
Individual adjustment of the driver's seat in the Kia Opirus (2003–2012) allows precise positioning to the millimeter. Height adjustment, recline or lumbar support: everything can be conveniently set at the touch of a button, supporting an ergonomic seating posture. The memory function for multiple drivers guarantees a quick return to a perfectly set-up driving position. These features underline the premium character of the vehicle in terms of seating comfort and driver focus.
Adjusting the seat longitudinally (forward and rearward) and vertically
Adjusting the seat longitudinally
Press the switch forward or rearward to move the seat in the desired direction.
When you release the button, the seat stops in the selected position.
Adjust the seat before you drive and make sure the seat is securely locked by trying to move it forward or backward without operating the switch. If the seat moves, it is not locked properly.

Adjusting the front height of the seat cushion
Move the front part of the switch up or down to raise or lower the front of the seat cushion.

Adjusting the rear height of the seat cushion
Move the rear part of the switch up or down to raise or lower the rear of the seat cushion.

Adjusting the overall height of the seat cushion
Move the center of the switch up or down to raise or lower the entire seat cushion.
Release the switch when the seat cushion has reached the desired height.

Adjusting the driver's seatback recline
Press the switch forward or rearward until the desired seatback recline is reached, then release the switch. Once you release the switch, the seatback stays in the selected position. Make sure the switch has returned to its original position.
WARNINGIf the seatback of a front seat is reclined too far rearward while driving, this could result in serious or fatal injuries in a collision. If the seatback of a front seat is reclined too far rearward, the occupant's hips can slide under the lap belt, so that large forces can act on the unprotected abdomen and neck.
This could cause internal injuries. Always keep the seatbacks in a comfortable, upright position while driving.

Lumbar support*
To adjust the lumbar support, use the switch mounted on the side of the driver's seat. Press the front part (1) of the switch to increase lumbar support and press the rear part (2) of the switch to decrease lumbar support.
To raise or lower the lumbar support, press switch (3) or (4).

Driver's seat memory*
The driver's seat memory system stores the settings of the driver's seat, steering wheel, and outside mirrors. At the press of a button, various settings of these systems can be stored and recalled for several drivers.
Please observe the corresponding operating instructions on page 3-38.

The precise adjustability of the driver's seat in the Kia Opirus 2003–2011 supports an ergonomic seating position, enhancing safety and comfort while driving. Height, longitudinal, and recline adjustments can be operated conveniently.
