TEST
Fuel Pump Motor
Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
Remove the fuel pump.
With the fuel pump motor operating, apply power to terminal 4 and ground terminal 5 of the pump connector (A) to check.

Pin No. Description 1 Fuel sensor signal (+) 2 Fuel Pump Motor (-) 3 Fuel Pump Motor (-) 4 Fuel Level Sensor (-)
Fuel Gauge
Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
Remove the fuel pump.
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 3 of the sender connector. Measure (A) at each float level.

Pin No. Description 1 Fuel sensor signal (+) 2 Fuel Pump Motor (-) 3 Fuel Pump Motor (-) 4 Fuel Level Sensor (-) Also check that the resistance changes smoothly as the float moves from "E" to "F".

expansion
Release the residual pressure in the fuel line.
(See Fuel Supply - "Relieving Residual Pressure in the Fuel Line")
Remove the rear seat.
(Refer to Body - "Rear Seat")
Remove the fuel pump service cover (A).

Disconnect the fuel pump connector (A).

Disconnect the quick connector of the filler hose (A) and the vent pipe (C), and disconnect the vent hose (B).

Loosen the mounting screws, then remove the cover (A) and remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank.
Fuel Pump Cover Mounting Screw: 2.0 ~ 2.9 N·m

Installation
Installation is the reverse of removal.
