If the trailer is equipped with a braking system, make sure it complies with local regulations and that it has been installed correctly and works properly.

If the trailer's weight exceeds the maximum trailer weight without trailer brakes, it will need its own suitable brakes. Be sure to read and follow the trailer brake instructions so they can be installed, adjusted and maintained correctly.

  • The vehicle's brake system must not be used.
WARNING - Trailer Brakes Do not use a trailer with its own braking system until you are sure it has been installed correctly. This is not a job for an amateur. To connect the trailer brake system, have it done by an experienced, competent workshop.
