ISG system
In this manual: ISG system
~1min read
Your vehicle may be equipped with the ISG system, which reduces fuel consumption by automatically shutting off the engine when the vehicle is stopped.
(For example: at a red light, at a stop sign, or in a traffic jam.) The engine restarts automatically as soon as the restart conditions are met.
The ISG system is always active while the engine is running.
NOTE When the engine is restarted automatically by the ISG system, some warning lights (ABS, ESP, ESP OFF, EPS or parking brake indicator) may illuminate for a few seconds.
This is caused by low battery voltage and does not indicate a system malfunction.
