Having the correct tow hitch is important. Crosswinds, large trucks passing by and uneven roads are just a few reasons why you need the right hitch. Observe the following rules:

  • Will it be necessary to drill holes in the vehicle body to install the trailer hitch? If so, remember to seal the holes after the hitch is removed.

If they are not tightly sealed, deadly carbon monoxide (CO) from the exhaust gases, as well as dirt and water, can enter the vehicle.

  • The vehicle's bumpers were not designed to accommodate a trailer hitch.

    • Do not install rental hitches or other hitches mounted on the bumpers. Only use a frame-mounted hitch that is not installed on the bumper.

  • Accessories such as trailer hitches are available from authorized Kia dealers.
