  2. Set the mode to the desired position.
To improve heating and cooling efficiency:

  1. Set the temperature control to the desired value.
  2. Set the air intake control to the fresh air position.
  3. Set the blower speed to the desired level.
  4. If air conditioning is required, turn on the A/C system (if equipped).

Mode selection

The mode selection dial controls the direction of airflow through the ventilation system.

Air can be directed to the floor, the dashboard vents or the windshield. Five symbols are used to indicate airflow positions: Face, Bi-level, Floor, Floor/Defrost and Defrost.

Face level
(B, D)

Air is directed to the upper body and face.

In addition, the direction of the airflow can be adjusted at each vent.

Bi-level
(B, D, C, E)

Air is directed to the face and floor.

Floor level (C, E, A,
D)

Most of the airflow is directed to the floor, with a small amount directed to defrost the windshield and side windows.

Floor/Defrost level
(A, C, D, E)

Most of the airflow is directed to the floor and to defrost the windshield, with a small amount directed to defrost the side windows.

Defrost level (A, D)


Most of the airflow is directed to the windshield, with a small amount directed to defrost the side windows.

MAX A/C mode (B, D) (if equipped)

MAX A/C-Poziom

MAX A/C mode is used to cool the vehicle interior quickly.

In this mode, the air conditioning and recirculation positions are selected automatically.

Dashboard Air Vents

The air vents can be opened and closed individually using the horizontal airflow adjustment knob.

To close a vent, turn it fully downward. You can also adjust the airflow direction from the vents using the adjustment lever: up/down/right/left, as shown.

Temperature Control

The temperature control knob adjusts the temperature of the air supplied from the ventilation system.

To change the cabin temperature, turn the knob clockwise for warmer air or counterclockwise for cooler air.

Fresh Air Intake Control

It is used to select the fresh outside air position or the air recirculation position.

To change the air intake control position, press the control button.

Air Recirculation
Position

In the air recirculation position, cabin air is drawn through the heating system and, depending on the selected function, heated or cooled.

Fresh Air Intake
Position

In the fresh air intake position, outside air is drawn into the vehicle and, depending on the selected function, heated or cooled.

NOTE Prolonged heating in the air recirculation position will fog the windshield and side windows, and the air in the cabin will become stale.

In addition, prolonged air conditioning with the air recirculation position selected will cause the cabin air to become excessively dry.

WARNING
  • Continuous operation of the climate control system in the air recirculation position may allow humidity to build up inside the vehicle, causing the glass to fog and reducing visibility.
  • Do not sleep in the vehicle with the air conditioner or heater running. This may cause serious injury or death due to a drop in oxygen level and/or body temperature.
  • Continuous operation of the climate control system in the air recirculation position may cause drowsiness or sluggishness and loss of control of the vehicle.

    While driving, set the air intake control to the fresh outside air position (fresh) as much as possible.

Blower Speed Control

For the blower to operate, the ignition switch must be in the ON position.

The blower speed control knob adjusts the speed of the blower that supplies air from the ventilation system. To change the blower speed, turn the knob clockwise for higher speed or counterclockwise for lower speed.

Setting the speed control knob to "0" turns the blower off.

Air Conditioning (A/C)

Klimatyzacja (A/C)

To turn on the air conditioning system, press the A/C button (the indicator lamp will illuminate). To turn off the air conditioning system, press the button again.
