You may have a NISSAN dealer drain the engine coolant from your vehicle.

This maintenance procedure is described in the NISSAN Service Manual.

Improper maintenance procedures may impair heater performance and cause engine overheating.

WARNING

  • Never replace your vehicle's coolant while the engine is hot, as you could burn yourself.
  • Never remove the radiator cap while the engine is hot. Boiling coolant under high pressure could escape from the radiator and cause serious burns.
  • Avoid any direct skin contact with used coolant. If contact occurs, wash the affected area thoroughly with soap or hand cleaner as soon as possible.
  • Keep coolant out of reach of children and animals.

Coolant must be disposed of properly. Check your local regulations.
