The Audi 80 has two throttle valve angle sensors. They signal the following:

Idle; for regulating idle speed, cutting off fuel supply during overrun, fully electronic ignition system, etc.

Full throttle; for enriching the mixture at full throttle and for the fully electronic ignition system.
