The injection system control unit can detect and store in memory some of the faults that occur during engine operation. Fault memory data is read using the special V.A.G 1551 scan tool, and the memory can contain records of many faults.


The KE-III-Jetronic injection system control unit works closely with the control unit of the fully electronic ignition system. Therefore, the ignition system fault memory is read first, followed by the injection system fault memory.
