Idle Speed Stabilization Test
TEST PROCEDURE
Switch on the ignition and touch the control valve by hand: a working vibration should be felt. If not, either the control valve or the KE-III-Jetronic control unit is faulty.
Check the control valve: disconnect the connectors. Measure the resistance between the control valve connector terminals: it should be negligible. An "infinite" reading indicates an open winding – the control valve is defective.
If the control valve is good, the cause of the fault may be an open circuit in the wiring or a faulty control unit. Check and, if necessary, replace.
Connect an LED voltmeter to both poles of the free wire end.
Switch on the ignition.
The voltmeter should light up; in this case, the power supply from the KE-III-Jetronic control unit is in order.
