Engines equipped with fuel injection draw in clean air. In addition, the injection system meters fuel for each cylinder. On models with a 5-cylinder engine this takes place continuously (kontinuierlich), and the process is controlled electronically (elektronisch), which is why this injection system is called KE-III-Jetronic.
