Auxiliary Relay Panel

The auxiliary relay panel (3) is located under the shelf (2) on the left under the instrument panel. The adhesive label (1) shows which relay or control unit is located in which position. Their positions vary from vehicle to vehicle.

The layout of the contact cell numbering on the auxiliary relay panel can also be found in the wiring diagrams. Rarely are all cells occupied, but cells one through six are provided in every vehicle. To the right of the contact cells are cells with detachable contact connections for various cable harnesses. For example, when retrofitting, the wiring harness connecting the fog lights and the switch should be connected here.
Relays and control modules that do not fit in the central electrical distribution box are located in the relay box under the instrument panel. They become accessible after removing the left-hand panel under the instrument panel. The arrangement of the contact sockets is shown in the illustration below. Optional adapters that are not fitted on all vehicles are also shown there.
