POWER STEERING

The operability of the vehicle controls largely depends on the fluid level in the hydraulic system reservoir.

The hydraulic fluid reservoir is located in the engine compartment. Check the fluid level only with the engine running and the front wheels turned off. The fluid level must always be between the "MAX" and "MIN" marks on the side of the reservoir or on the dipstick of the cap. If the level has dropped to the minimum, unscrew the cap and top up with hydraulic fluid for VW or Audi models, specification 0-002 000.

If the hydraulic system fails or the engine is switched off, vehicle steering is not lost. Only additional physical effort will be required.
