ENGINE OIL - Oil Level Check

Oil Level Check
Engine oil consumption is normal and should be approximately 1.5 liters per 1000 km.
For this reason, the engine oil level should be checked regularly, preferably during refueling.
This is done using the dipstick with the maximum and minimum level marks.
To check the oil level, park the vehicle on level ground in a horizontal position. Switch off the engine and wait several minutes for the oil to drain into the sump.
Then pull out the dipstick, wipe it clean with a lint-free cloth, and reinsert it fully.
Pull out the dipstick and check the oil level. A level midway between the "MAX" and "MIN" marks is normal.
The difference in quantity between "MAX" and "MIN" is 1 liter for all versions.
When operating the vehicle under severe conditions: long trips in hot weather, towing a trailer, or driving in mountainous terrain with frequent climbs and descents, keep the engine oil level close to the maximum mark.
