LUBRICANTS - Turbo-diesel engines

When the vehicle leaves the factory, the engine is filled with high-quality all-season oil suitable for year-round operation in virtually all climatic zones.

For topping up and oil changes, we recommend the following mineral or synthetic oils:

- Branded oils, specification VW 505 00 - High-quality engine oils, specifications VW 500 00 and VW 505 00 - Branded oils, specification API SF (only in exceptional cases).

Specification numbers are printed on the oil container packaging. Oils may be mixed with each other.

The advantages of high-quality engine oils and low-friction oils over all other grades are the same as described in the previous section.

Select the oil viscosity class from this table. If the outside air temperature exceeds the specified limits for a short period, an oil change is not required.

When using single-function oil SAE 10W, avoid prolonged engine operation at high speeds and under maximum load.
