Gasoline engines Vehicles with catalytic converters

Engines 85-100 kW. Unleaded gasoline Super-95 (Euro-Super, octane number 95) is used.

Unleaded gasoline must comply with standard OGK 51607, leaded gasoline with standard OGM 51600.

Unleaded gasoline with an octane number of up to 91 may also be used. This will slightly reduce engine power.

Vehicles without catalytic converter

Engines 85-100 kW. Use leaded gasoline with an octane rating of not less than 98. Under certain conditions, unleaded Super gasoline may also be suitable, but because its octane rating is lower, additional engine adjustment is required. This is performed at service stations.

For all engine types with catalytic converters: Use only unleaded gasoline. Leaded gasoline quickly damages the exhaust emission control system because lead deposits in the catalytic converter.

Even a single refuelling with this gasoline significantly reduces the efficiency of the catalytic converters.

Even if unleaded fuel is added afterwards, it will no longer be possible to restore normal catalytic converter operation.

Furthermore, the automatic fuel mixture control system may also be damaged.

Diesel engines: Diesel fuel must meet standard OPM 51601 with a cetane number of not less than 45.

Winter operation: Summer grades of diesel fuel are not recommended in winter.

At temperatures below 0°C, paraffin components separate out, the fuel thickens and adversely affects engine operation.

Therefore, in winter, cold-resistant diesel fuel grades must be used, with characteristics matching the winter air temperature in the given climatic zone.

In extreme cases, during this period, either winter or summer grades may be used, but they must be diluted with regular leaded or unleaded gasoline (not Super grade). Because engine power is reduced in this case, the following mixing ratios must be observed (maximum 30%):

The mixed fuel ratio table is calculated for vehicle operating conditions in Germany.

ние необходимо проводить в топливном баке, бензин при этом заливается первым.For safety reasons, mixing must be carried out in the fuel tank, with gasoline poured in first.
