Recommendations in case of refuelling with the wrong fuel
Regular gasoline instead of Super-98: Operation of the engine on this fuel is permitted, but only in exceptional cases, and only if the octane rating of the gasoline is not below 91. In this case the engine must run only at medium speeds and with minimal load.
Sudden full-throttle loading and high engine speeds may damage the engine. At the first opportunity, immediately replace the fuel with the required grade Super-95 or 98.
Unleaded Super-95 gasoline instead of leaded gasoline: As an exception, short-term operation of the engine on this fuel grade is also permitted.
As in the previous section, high loads should be avoided because this gasoline has lower knock resistance.
For longer-term operation, appropriate engine adjustment is required.
Leaded gasoline instead of unleaded gasoline: With catalytic converters, the use of leaded gasoline is not permitted. It may damage the exhaust emission control system.
If this occurs, the entire fuel system must be purged of this fuel. It is best to have the cleaning performed at a service station.
Gasoline instead of diesel fuel: The engine may run on a mixed fuel with a concentration of no more than 30%. If by mistake more gasoline or Super gasoline is poured into the diesel tank, the fuel mixture must be drained and the entire fuel system flushed.
Diesel fuel instead of gasoline: Carburettor engines do not run on diesel fuel. Drain the fuel and flush the fuel system.
