WINDSHIELD WASHERS

The windshield washer reservoir (illustration) and the headlight washer reservoir (illustration in the center) are located in the engine compartment. The capacity of the first is approximately 4 liters, and of the second approximately 7 liters.

Filling with water: remove the reservoir cap, fill the reservoir with water to the top, and close the cap. If the engine is running, check the washer operation.

It is recommended to add windshield cleaning powder to the water.

It improves cleaning intensity and quality and, in winter, lowers the freezing point.

Adjusting the washer nozzles

With the vehicle stationary, the washer jets must hit the windshield areas indicated in the diagram:

a = 200 mm b = 190 mm c = 120 mm d = 180 mm e = 180 mm

Adjust the direction of the nozzles with a thin needle.

Adjusting the headlight washer nozzles requires special equipment. Therefore, their adjustment should normally be performed at a service station.
