On-board computer

~4min read

The on-board computer in the Citroën C6 (1st generation) provides detailed information on fuel consumption, speed and vehicle status. The driver can choose between two trip displays, which can be evaluated separately, ideal for monitoring daily and long-distance values. Tyre pressure, oil and coolant temperature, and range are also clearly shown. Operation is simple via the steering column stalk or the radio control unit. In addition, the system detects tyre faults and displays them graphically. A valuable tool for anyone who wants to analyse and optimise their driving style, safely, precisely and comfortably.

To select the different information and its display, briefly press the end of the wiper stalk several times.

Press the "TRIP" button on the radio control unit to continuously display the on-board computer information.

To reset the computer information, press and hold the end of the wiper stalk for a few seconds while one of the items to be reset is displayed.

The on-board computer provides access to:

  • Three continuously updated types of information:
    • Range.
    • Current fuel consumption.
    • Remaining distance to go.
  • Three types of information for the two trips 1 and 2:
    • Distance travelled.
    • Average fuel consumption.
    • Average speed.

The trips Trips 1 and 2 are independent of each other and work in the same way. For example, trip 1 can be used for a daily calculation and trip 2 for a monthly calculation.

Resetting a trip to zero When the desired trip is displayed, press and hold the end of the wiper stalk.
  • Vehicle information:
    • Oil temperature (NaviDrive display only).
    • Coolant temperature.
    • Tyre pressure.

    Oil temperature (NaviDrive colour display)

BordcomputerThe level shown on this display indicates the engine oil temperature.

BordcomputerIf the temperature is excessive, the display shows a maximum level and the last red segment flashes.

    Tyre pressure monitoring

This function warns of low tyre pressure or a tyre puncture. To do this, the condition of the wheels is constantly monitored by sensors, which pass this information to the display (press the end of the wiper stalk or press "TRIP" for continuous display).

    Low tyre pressure warning

The SERVICE warning lamp comes on and the vehicle outline is displayed.

The affected wheel(s) is/are located on the vehicle outline, where the wheel(s) flash(es). Check the tyre pressure as soon as possible.

    Bordcomputer

    Tyre puncture

The "STOP" and tyre puncture warning lamps come on and the vehicle outline is displayed. The affected wheel(s) is/are located on the vehicle outline, where the wheel(s) flash(es).

    Bordcomputer

Stop immediately, avoiding abrupt steering and braking manoeuvres.

Change the damaged wheel (punctured or with far too low tyre pressure), then have it repaired and check the tyre pressure as soon as possible.

The flat tyre (in the boot or during repair) is no longer detected (indicated by the outline display or a message), and the spare wheel is also not detected. See the section "Wheel not detected".

    Wheel not detected

The SERVICE warning lamp comes on and the vehicle outline is displayed.

The affected wheel(s) are identified by the outline in which the wheel(s) is/are not shown. If the wheel has not been changed, this information indicates a system malfunction.

Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop to replace the defective sensor(s).

    Bordcomputer

The tyre pressure monitoring system is a driving aid. It does not replace the driver's attention or responsibility.

This system does not replace regular tyre pressure checks (see "Identification"). Regular checks are needed to ensure optimum dynamic vehicle behaviour and to prevent premature tyre wear, especially under special driving conditions (heavy loads, higher speeds).

Do not forget to check the inflation pressure of the spare wheel.

All repairs or tyre changes on a wheel fitted with a tyre pressure sensor must be carried out by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

The system may be temporarily disturbed by signals in the same frequency band.

The on-board computer of the Citroën C6 provides the driver with precise information on fuel consumption, speed and range. These functions help the driver adapt their driving style and optimise fuel consumption. The clear display keeps the driver fully informed.

In addition, the on-board computer offers useful features such as the display of tyre pressure and coolant temperature. In this way, the Citroën C6 once again shows how modern technology enhances driving comfort and safety.

The Citroën C6 combines functionality and simple operation so that the driver can concentrate fully on the road.
