Exhaust System

~1min read

The V6 model exhaust system consists of a pair of exhaust manifolds, a Y-shaped front pipe, a catalytic converter with an oxygen sensor (O2 sensor) located downstream of it, a muffler, and a tailpipe. On 4-cylinder models, the exhaust system design is simpler, as the catalytic converter is connected by the front pipe to the single engine exhaust manifold.

The catalytic converter is one of the main components of the exhaust emission control system. The models covered use single-section converters with a 3-way catalyst.
