This indicator performs the following four functions:

1. A steady indicator reminds the driver that the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) system is turned off.

2. The indicator flashes when the vehicle stability assist system is active.

3. The indicator flashes when the trailer stability assist system is active.

4. If there is a malfunction in the VSA system, the VSA activation indicator comes on together with the VSA malfunction indicator. In addition, a symbol is displayed on the multi-information display, which may be accompanied by the message "CHECK SYSTEM".

This indicator comes on for a few seconds when the ignition switch is turned to the ON (II) or START (III) position. For more information, refer to page 402.
