Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS) Malfunction Indicator (for some models)

This light comes on for a few seconds when the ignition switch is turned to the ON (II) position.
This indicator comes on to inform the driver that the AFS has been turned off using the switch.
If the indicator flashes, there is a malfunction in the Adaptive Front-lighting System.
In this case, a symbol is displayed on the multi-information display
This may be accompanied by the message "CHECK SYSTEM."
When this symbol or message appears, stop the vehicle in a safe place, turn the ignition key to the ACCESSORY (I) or LOCK (0) position, and then restart the engine. If the indicator continues to flash after restarting the engine, take your vehicle to an authorized dealer for inspection. For more information, refer to page 153.
