Remote Fuel Filler Door Release (Van, Wagon)

The fuel filler door can be opened from inside the vehicle by pulling up the fuel filler door opener located on the instrument panel on the left side of the vehicle.
If the fuel filler door does not open due to ice forming around it, gently tap the door to break the ice and release the door. Do not apply force to the door. If necessary, spray de-icer around the door (do not use radiator antifreeze) or move the vehicle to a warm place to allow the ice to melt.
Gasoline vapors are dangerous. Always stop the engine before refueling and keep sparks or open flames away from the filling area. If the fuel filler cap needs to be replaced, use genuine Hyundai parts for replacement.
If you open the fuel filler cap when the ambient temperature is high, you may hear a faint sound of escaping air. This is normal and is not a cause for concern.
When opening the fuel filler cap, unscrew it slowly.
