Seat Belt Precautions

One seat belt must be used by only one person.
Failure to do so may be dangerous.
1. While traveling, children should sit in the second or third row seats and be secured with lap belts. Infants must be secured in a child restraint system.
2. Requirements for transporting children in the front seat may vary by country. Follow the applicable regulations.
3. Do not twist the seat belts when using them.
4. Inspect the belts for cuts, worn areas, or fraying on the webbing, or deformed metal parts. Replace the belts if they are damaged.

5. To clean a dirty belt, use a neutral detergent in warm water. After rinsing, dry the belt in the shade. Do not try to bleach or dye the belt, as this will affect its performance.
6. Seat belts that were damaged in an accident must not be reused, even if the damage is not visible, because damaged belts may not withstand another accident.
Be sure to replace the seat belt and mounting bolts with new ones.
