Repair Procedures

Installation and Removal

Front muffler

  1. Minuspol von der Batterie abklemmen.

  2. Motorabdeckung abbauen.

    (Siehe Motor und Getriebe - "Motorabdeckung")

  3. Hintere Lambdasonde (A) abklemmen.

  4. Aufhänger (A) ausbauen.

  5. Vorschalldämpfer (B) ausbauen.

    Anzugsdrehmoment: 39,2 ~ 59 N·m

  6. Der Einbau erfolgt in der umgekehrten Reihenfolge des Ausbaus.

Catalytic converter and center muffler

  1. Gummiaufhänger (A) ausbauen

  2. Remove the catalytic converter and center muffler (B).

    Anzugsdrehmoment: 39,2 ~ 59 N·m

  3. Der Einbau erfolgt in der umgekehrten Reihenfolge des Ausbaus.

CENTER MUFFLER

  1. Gummiaufhänger (A) ausbauen.

  2. Hinteren Schalldämpfer (B) ausbauen.

    Anzugsdrehmoment: 39,2 ~ 59 N·m

  3. Der Einbau erfolgt in der umgekehrten Reihenfolge des Ausbaus.

Replacing the center muffler with clamp

Unter Gewährleistung: Mittelschalldämpfer ersetzen.

Outside of warranty: The center muffler can be replaced as follows.

  1. Check whether the clamping area of the center muffler is damaged or deformed.

    Wenn der Schalldämpfer an der Klemme zu stark korrodiert ist, muss der Mittelschalldämpfer ersetzt werden.

  2. Cut (A, B) between the tailpipe (or rear trim) and the rear bumper.

  3. Gummiaufhängung (A) vom Mittelschalldämpfer entfernen.

  4. Remove the catalytic converter and center muffler (B).

  5. Mittelschalldämpfers wie unten beschrieben abtrennen.

    - An der vorderen Nut des Schalldämpfers absägen.

    [Ersatzschalldämpfer]

    -Hintere Nut am Ersatzschalldämpfer einschneiden.

  6. Mittelschalldämpfer einbauen.

    1. Install the catalytic converter (A) and replacement center muffler (B) and tighten the nuts temporarily.

    2. Install the clamp (A) between the cut areas of each pipe and tighten it slightly.

    3. Tighten the catalytic converter and center muffler to the specified torque.

      Anzugsdrehmoment: 39,2 ~ 59 N·m

    4. Compare the gap between the tailpipe (or rear trim) and the rear bumper with the measurement taken before removing the center muffler.

    5. Do not fully tighten the clamp at this time. Gradually tighten the clamp nuts to the specified torque.

      Anzugsdrehmoment: 17,6 ~ 24 N·m
