Auto start

Used to restart the engine in idle stop mode.

  • Depress the clutch pedal while the gear selector is in N (Neutral).

The engine will restart and the green AUTO STOP indicator () in the
instrument cluster will turn off.

If the vehicle is equipped with a supervision cluster, a message will appear on the LCD.

Auto start

The engine will also restart automatically, without any action by the driver, if any of the following occurs:

  • The manual climate control blower fan is set above 3 while the air conditioning is on.
  • The automatic climate control blower fan is set above 6 while the air conditioning is on.
  • A certain amount of time has passed with the climate control system on.
  • The defroster is on.
  • There is low vacuum in the brake booster.
  • The battery charge is low.
  • Vehicle speed is above 5 km/h.

The green AUTO STOP indicator ()
in the instrument cluster will flash for 5 seconds, and a message will appear on the LCD (if equipped).
