Tire Rotation
To even out tread wear, rotate the tires every 12,000 km (7,500 miles) or sooner if uneven tread wear is noticed.
During rotation, check and adjust tire balance.
When rotating the tires, check them for uneven wear or damage. Abnormal wear is often caused by incorrect tire pressure, improper wheel alignment, unbalanced wheels, harsh braking, or sharp cornering. Check the treads and sidewalls for cuts or bulges. If any are found, replace the tire.
Also replace the tire if the fabric or cords become visible.
After rotation, inflate the front and rear tires to the correct pressure specified in the specifications, and check that the valve caps are tightened.
See "Tires and Wheels" in Chapter 8.

Inspect the disc brake pads every time the tires are rotated.
NOTE Radial tires with an asymmetric tread pattern should only be rotated front to rear, not side to side.
WARNING- Do not use the compact temporary spare tire for tire rotation.
- Never mix bias-belted and radial tires.
This may cause unusual vehicle handling, leading to fatal accidents, serious injury, or vehicle damage.
