To spray washer fluid onto the windshield and run the wipers for 1–3 cycles, with the switch in OFF (O), gently pull the lever toward you.

Use this function when the windshield is dirty.

Spraying and wiper operation will continue until the lever is released.

If the washer does not work, check the washer fluid level. If the level is too low, add an appropriate washer fluid that does not contain abrasives to the washer reservoir.

The washer reservoir filler neck is located at the front of the engine compartment on the passenger side.

CAUTION To avoid damaging the washer pump, do not operate the washers when the washer fluid reservoir is empty. WARNING Do not use the washer at freezing temperatures without first warming the windshield with the defroster. The washer solution could freeze on contact with the windshield and block visibility. CAUTION
  • To prevent damage to the wiper blades or windshield, do not operate the wipers when the windshield is dry.
  • To prevent damage to the wiper blades, do not use gasoline, kerosene, paint thinner or other solvents on or near them.
  • To prevent damage to the wiper arms and other components, do not try to move the wipers manually.
