Headlight Bulbs

* These models use halogen bulbs filled with pressurized gas. The bulb may burst if its surface is scratched or if it is dropped. Wear protective eyewear and handle the bulbs carefully, holding the bulb only by its base whenever possible. Do not touch the glass surface with your fingers, since oil from your skin may cause the bulb to overheat and fail prematurely. If you touch the bulb surface, clean it with methyl alcohol.

* If your vehicle's stereo has an anti-theft code system, make sure you know the radio activation code before disconnecting the battery.

Replacement

PROCEDURE
1. Open the hood.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. If necessary, remove the air intake duct to access the back of the bulb holder.

4. Press the tab and disconnect the connector from the bulb holder.

5. Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it from the headlight housing (when viewed from the rear). Avoiding touching the bulb glass with bare fingers, install the socket with the new bulb into the headlight and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.
6. Connect the connector and reconnect the negative battery cable. Check the headlight operation, then close the hood.
