Some electrical circuits are protected by fusible links. Fusible links are used in circuits that are not protected by conventional fuses, such as the ignition system circuit.
The fusible links used on these models are similar to fuses in that their condition can also be checked visually.
To replace a fusible link, disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the blown link from the connector and replace it with a new one. Always determine the cause of the failure of the old link before installing a new one.

* If your vehicle's stereo has an anti-theft code system, make sure you know the radio activation code before disconnecting the battery.
