Daytime Running Lamp System
In this manual: Electrical System
~1min read
The daytime running lamp system, installed on some models, turns on the headlamps every time the engine is started. The only exception is when the engine is started with the parking brake applied. After the parking brake is released, the headlamps turn on and remain lit while the ignition is on, even if the parking brake is applied again.
The daytime running lamp system supplies reduced voltage to the headlamps so that they do not glow too brightly during daytime and to extend their service life.
