From the outside, the front doors are locked and unlocked with the key; the internal lock buttons move down or up accordingly. The front passenger door and all rear doors can also be locked from the outside without a key. To do so, simply push the lock buttons down and close the door.

The driver's door can be locked with the lock button while it is open. This helps prevent the driver from leaving the key in the ignition switch. From the inside, all doors are locked by pressing the lock button down. In this position the doors cannot be opened either from outside or inside. While driving, the lock buttons must not be pressed, since locked doors hinder rescue personnel from accessing the vehicle in the event of an accident.
