Coolant temperature gauge

Указатель температуры охлаждающей жидкости
Coolant Temperature Gauge

Also operates with the ignition switched on. The gauge needle does not move to its operating position immediately but after some time.

The left sector of the scale indicates low temperature. If the needle is in the left sector of the scale, avoid high engine speeds and do not overload the engine.

The central part of the scale indicates normal temperature. This is the operating position of the needle under normal driving conditions. Under high engine loads the needle may move into the right sector. This is normal and is not a cause for concern.

Do not take action until the coolant temperature warning lamp starts flashing.

When the engine load is reduced, the needle will return to the central sector.

Auto-Check-System warning symbol. If the coolant temperature symbol appears on the 'Auto-Check-System' display while driving, this means one of two things:

- the coolant temperature is too high - the coolant level is critically low.

Slowly stop the vehicle, switch off the engine and determine the cause of the malfunction.

Auxiliary lamps installed in front of the air intakes adversely affect the cooling system. At high ambient temperatures and high engine loads, there is a risk of engine overheating.

In this situation, to reduce the additional load on the engine, the automatic system switches off the air conditioner. When the coolant temperature drops to the required level, the air conditioner will switch on again.
