PARKING BRAKE

The parking brake system is applied by pulling the lever handle up. When parking on a slope, additionally engage 1st gear. Always pull the parking brake lever fully up to prevent it from being accidentally left engaged while driving.

When the parking brake lever is applied and the ignition is on, the warning lamp on the instrument panel illuminates.

To release the parking brake, slightly lift the lever up, press the release button (indicated by the arrow), and lower the lever fully down.
